With the General Business Major, you’ll build a strong understanding of a wide range of business concepts while keeping your future options open. This major is designed to give you flexible pathways into further post-secondary studies through transfer agreements with universities across Alberta. This is a two-year (four-term) diploma. A standard course load is five courses per Fall or Winter term, though full-time status can be maintained with a minimum of three courses per Fall or Winter term. For students enrolled in the condensed Spring 2026 (May to June) or Summer 2026 (July to August) terms, it is recommended that you do not exceed two courses per term.
Taking fewer courses will extend your completion time.
